Trackwork
Track maintenance is carried out by RailCorp within the Sydney metropolitan area bounded by Macarthur, Lithgow and Broadmeadow. The Australian Rail Track Corporation maintains the track in areas outside of the Sydney metropolitan area. This section provides information of upcoming trackwork that affects CountryLink services.
28 January - 30 June 2008
South - Yass Junction - Albury, CLK623 the 6.58am Sydney to Melbourne and CLK624 the 8.30am Melbourne to Sydney XPT services may be delayed of up to 40 minutes.
South - Yass Junction - Albury, CLK641 the 7.45am Sydney to Griffith and CLK642 the 8.26am Griffith to Sydney Xplorer services may be delayed of up to 40 minutes.

West - between Edgecombe - Wallerawang delay of up to 60 minutes may occur to the 7.10am Sydney to Dubbo and 2.10pm Dubbo to Sydney XPT services.
North - between Bundook - Taree delay of up to 40 minutes may occur to the 7.15 am Sydney to Casino and 6.30am Grafton to Sydney XPT services.

West - between Edgecombe - Wallerawang delay of up to 60 minutes may occur to the 7.10am Sydney to Dubbo XPT service. This service will be replaced by a road coach between Wellington and Dubbo.

North West - The 10.05am Sydney to Armidale and 10.05am Sydney to Moree XPLORER services and 7.30am Moree to Sydney and 8.50am Armidale to Sydney XPLORER services have been replaced by road coaches for the entire journey.

North West - The 10.05am Sydney to Armidale and 10.05am Sydney to Moree XPLORER services are replaced by roadcoach between Sydney and Muswellbrook where passengers will transfer to the Xplorer for the remainder of their journey.
The 7.30am Moree to Sydney XPLORER service and the 8.50am Armidale to Sydney XPLORER service will be replaced by roadcoach between Muswellbrook to Sydney.

West - between Blacktown - Dubbo the 7.10am Sydney to Dubbo and 2.10pm Dubbo to Sydney XPT services will be replaced by road coaches for the entire journey.
West - CityRail InterCity passengers connecting with CountryLink coach services at Lithgow are advised to join suburban CityRail services to Blacktown which depart 40 minutes earlier then join buses from Blacktown to Lithgow. Passengers joining at Penrith will be conveyed by bus to Springwood then change to a connecting bus to Lithgow.

West - The 7.10am Sydney to Dubbo XPT service will terminate at Wellington with road coaches replacing the XPT between Wellington and Dubbo. The 2.10pm Dubbo to Sydney XPT service will be replaced by road coaches between Dubbo and Wellington. The XPT will commence at Wellington and operate to Sydney, please note between Edgecombe - Wallerawang delay of up to 60 minutes may be experienced.

North West - between Singleton -Whittingham delays of up to 20 minutes may be experience on all North West XPLORER services.

South - Due to signalling upgrades at Melbourne Southern Cross Station the XPT service due to arrive into Melbourne at 7.35am will instead arrive at a platform approx 5km north of Melbourne Southern Cross Station. Passengers and checked luggage will be transferred by coach to Southern Cross Station. Delays of up to 40 minutes are expected.
South - The 7.55pm Melbourne to Sydney XPT services will depart from a platform approx 5km north of Melbourne Southern Cross Station. Passengers and checked luggage will be transferred by coach from Southern Cross Station. Delays of up to 40 minutes are expected.

South - Due to signalling upgrades at Melbourne Southern Cross Station all Sydney - Melbourne - Sydney XPT services at will terminate/arrive and depart at a platform approx 5km north of Melbourne Southern Cross Station. Passengers and checked luggage will be transferred by coach to / from Southern Cross Station. Delays of up to 40 minutes are expected.
South - Illawarra Junction - Homebush - Lidcombe All south XPT and XPLORER services will operate via East Hills and therefore not pick up or set down at Strathfield. CountryLink services will arrive and depart platforms 5 to 9 at Central Station.
31 May - 1 June 2008
West - Auburn - Harris Park - St Marys the 7.10am Sydney to Dubbo and 2.10pm Dubbo to Sydney XPT services may experience delays of up to 45 minutes. CityRail InterCity trains will commence and terminate at Penrith, passengers are advised to join a CityRail local service 30 minutes earlier Central to Granville then bus Granville to Penrith.
31 May - 2 June 2008
North - Grafton City - Grafton delays of up to 20 minutes may be experienced on all North Coast XPT services beyond Grafton.
