Cheaper fares for Oberon pensioners and seniors

1 May 2010

Pensioners travelling with CountryLinkPensioners and Seniors Card holders will save around $9 on a return trip from Oberon to Mount Victoria from 1 May 2010.

The saving is great news for travellers heading to Sydney on a CityRail intercity service.

The $2.50 Country Pensioner Excursion ticket is now valid for travel between Mount Victoria Station and coach stops at Little Hartley, Hartley, Good Forest, Hampton and Oberon.

The ticket is also valid for return travel on the same day.

If you're connecting with a CityRail service at Mount Victoria, you'll still need to buy a $2.50 Pensioner Excursion Ticket at the station.

If you're connecting with a CountryLink service at Mount Victoria, you'll need to buy a ticket for the remainder of your journey. Country Pensioner Excursion tickets are not valid for travel through areas covered by the CityRail network.

For more information and to book, call CountryLink on 13 22 32 or book online.

2010 CountryLink Parkes Elvis Festival

8-11 January 2010

The Elvis Express has left the building for another year, and we'd like to say "thankyou very much" to all those who shared this great regional event with us in 2010.

Sydney's Central Station came alive on 8 January with hundreds donning their favourite Elvis, Pricilla and Viva Las Vegas costumes to board the iconic train.

Singer Scott Crawford entertained the crowd with his tribute to the King before the Express departed for Parkes.

Held on the second weekend of January every year, the CountryLink Parkes Elvis festival is an event not to be missed, with street parades, free outdoor concerts and the Elvis gospel service.

The Elvis Express is one of CountryLink's most popular services, and seats sell out fast every year. To be among the first to find out when tickets for 2011 go on sale, e-mail us today.
